YOHAKU｜Living in the blank: light and geometry in conversation

Background

An experiment in digital architecture. YOHAKU is more than a place to show work: it takes the bare concrete and the sense of space (Ma) of modern Japanese buildings and rebuilds that feeling on screen.

The challenge

There is too much noise online. This project set out to give an architecture practice a place that can breathe: no decoration for its own sake, just clean geometry.

What we did

Design by subtraction

Anything that was not needed is gone.

The philosophy of Ma

The distance between elements is worked out precisely, and the empty space carries your eye through the page.

Materiality

Tone and type contrast do the job that texture does in the buildings.

Results
